| The basin at the end of the Felber valley is dominated by the Hintersee lake, which was created by a rock slide in 1495. On its Northern bank there is a nature trail furnished with 10 information boards, explaining the natural-history features of this portion of the valley. The circular path leads the visitors past spruces knocked over by the wind and down to the lakeside. Now the footpath ascends slightly, leading to a scree mound left by the rock slide already mentioned. It is now used as an alpine meadow. For the way back you can choose between two routes: the shorter path leads directly to the car park, the longer one goes via the Meiling alpine pasture, where snacks are available. |
