Mountain biking in the Hohe Tauern

1000 km of well-developed cycling and mountain biking trails are intertwined like a finely

woven net over the mountain pastures and mountain forests, right up to the peaks of the

Hohe Tauern mountains. With your bike you can access breathtaking vantage points, streams cutting through the mountains and mystical waterfalls. Those who choose to take on

the impressive peaks by bike can experience the smells and sounds of the Alps at their best.

From the gentle aromas of moss in the forests to the singsong of the insects in the rich

grasslands of the alpine pastures. The multitude of trails from the short and flat right up to the ten hour uphill tours make the Pinzgau region one of the most charming regions in Austria!

The Tauern bike path

This famous bike path runs past lakes and attractions along the Salzach river including numerous natural monuments and sights including the Krimml waterfalls.
