The first little birds are already chirping for the morning, the first flowers and herbs are blooming in the valley – this is the time when hikers, mountain bikers and skiers meet. In addition to the warm temperatures, the extra portion of vitamin D and the inviting sun terraces around the ski area, there are other good reasons for spring skiing here in the Kitzbühel Alps
firn snow
Even though the first meadows in the valley have already been cleared of snow and the first flowers are beginning to grow, there is still some snow on the mountains. Firn snow skiing is also a real pleasure for us locals, most of us in the region are fair-weather skiers, and you will definitely enjoy spring skiing too.
Longer sunny days
Let the first rays of sunshine in the morning tickle you out of bed and start the new day full of energy. With a hearty breakfast, let the first rays of sunshine sparkle on your face and listen to the springtime chirping of the birds.
Our recommendation: Enjoy your first coffee in the panorama pool from 7.00 a.m. or with sunrise from 8.00 a.m. on our sun terrace
Enjoy rest and fill up on vitamin D
The countless sun terraces on the rustic huts in the ski area and the mild temperatures invite you to linger. Don't forget the sunscreen and absorb the power of the spring sun and recharge your batteries.
Did you know: Vitamin D has a positive effect on our well-being and we also need it for vitamin D synthesis, which takes care of our bones.
Afterglow
The sunsets in spring are the most beautiful - whether on the Resterkogel or on our terrace. End the day of skiing with a cold beer or a glass of wine.
Spring time in the Sonnberghof
While the ski area presents itself from its most beautiful side during the day, our Aqua Marin Spa offers the perfect finale. Whether you want to knead your muscles during a massage, enjoy the guided infusions in the sauna or swim lengths in the panorama pool for those who haven't had enough of sports.
Treat yourself to a nice end of winter in the mountains with us at Gut Sonnberghof.
