For those looking to reach even greater heights, a variety of hiking trails await around Resterkogel. One of the most rewarding routes leads to the Rossgruberkogel (2,156 m), a scenic two-thousand-metre peak offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding Alpine landscape.

The hike begins at the Resterkogel mountain station and initially descends past the picturesque Resterkogel reservoir. From there, follow trail markers 76 and 9 northwest across the Hanglhöhe ridge to the Panoramaalm mountain hut. Continue on trail 61A in a northwesterly direction until you reach the summit of Rossgruberkogel, where spectacular panoramic views of the Kitzbühel Alps and the Hohe Tauern mountains reward your efforts.

A true highlight of the area is the viewing platform at the Resterkogel reservoir. It offers nature lovers, leisure seekers, and outdoor enthusiasts a spectacular place to relax while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views.
