The Streif — Pure Legends on Two Skis

The iconic Streif downhill course begins at 1,665 meters above sea level and finishes at 805 meters — stretching 3,312 meters in length with an impressive 860 meters of vertical drop. From the very first moment, the tension is unmistakable: the 160-meter starting slope with a 51% gradient launches racers within seconds into one of the course’s most infamous challenges — the legendary “Mausefalle.”

The Mausefalle is among the steepest sections of the entire run, reaching gradients of up to 85%, where athletes often accelerate to 110–120 km/h. The first jump after the starting slope is also the farthest of the entire descent — a moment that demands absolute courage and precision.

There are few downhill courses in the world that demand as much bravery, control, and technical skill. It’s no surprise that the Streif is considered one of the most challenging and prestigious racecourses on the planet.
